Hospice & Palliative Care of Greensboro participates in the Combined Federal Campaign for federal employees, the North Carolina State Employees Charitable Campaign, the City/County Employees Campaign, and other workplace campaigns. HPCG is also a member agency of the United Way of Greater Greensboro.  Workplace Giving supports two specific programs of HPCG – Kids Path and the Counseling and Education Center.

Kids Path
* Provides home care for medically fragile children;
* Counsels and supports children experiencing the serious illness or death of a friend or loved one;
* Offers special support to parents who are expecting a child with a life-threatening condition or learn of special needs at birth;
* Provides individual and group support, using art and play therapy;
* Schedules workshops and camps for children and teens to help process grief and bereavement;
* Offers educational materials and consultation for adults who care for children experiencing loss and change.

Kids Path in 2006-07
* Cared for 52 seriously ill children, averaging 33 children under care on any given day;
* Conducted more than 1,200 individual grief counseling sessions with children and their families;
* Had 325 children participate in group sessions, camps or workshops;
* Now in its 20th year, Aarvy Aardvark Finds Hope was presented to 4,677 Guilford County third graders. This puppet show on grief and loss is trouped by Kids Path staff and volunteers.

The Counseling and Education Center

* Offers individual and group bereavement counseling;
* Provides a quarterly grief education newsletter, Seasons;
* Conducts lectures and training sessions on end-of-life care issues;
* Consults with adults and their caregivers facing life changes Transitions and Life Changes (TLC) sessions.

The Counseling and Education Center in 2006-07
* Served 670 Greensboro families (those not connected to an HPCG* patient) providing 1,674 sessions;
* Provided 2,548 counseling visits to HPCG patients and families;
* Saw 365 adults in bereavement support groups;
* Conducted 289 community presentations.
